Changes and New Features in WinNUPRA 2.1

Fault Tree Module

Open, View, and Edit BED and PRM FilesBasic Event Data Files and Parameter Files can be displayed and manipulated in the Fault Tree Module.

Open and View EQN Files – Cutset Equation Files can be displayed in the Fault Tree Module.

Basic Event Documentation Link – A link between Basic Events and a Microsoft Access Database can be set up and used in the Fault Tree Module.  With a right mouse click on a Basic Event, event specific data from the database can be displayed.

Forward and Backward Jump to transfer gates – In the previous WinNUPRA version, a jump from a Transfer Gate to the Destination Gate was introduced.  In this version, the jump can also be performed backwards from the Destination Gate back to the Transfer Gate.  Both operations are available in a popup menu, which is displayed when clicking on a Gate with the right mouse button.

Event Tree Module

Open, View, and Edit BED and PRM Files – Basic Event Data Files and Parameter Files can be displayed and manipulated in the Event Tree Module.

Open and View EQN Files – Cutset Equation Files can be displayed in the Event Tree Module.

Quantify multiple Event Trees – The new Event Tree Module lets you quantify multiple Event Trees at once.

Calculation Module

Sensitivity Analysis in the Batch Process – A new command line for the Batch File was created to perform a Sensitivity Analysis of an Equation File.

Uncertainty Analysis in the Batch Process – A new command line for the Batch File was created to perform an Uncertainty Analysis of an Equation File.   Multiple Parameter Files can be used for this operation.

Minimalizing Equation Files in the Batch Process – A new command line for the Batch File was created to minimalize Cutset Equation Files (EQN files).

Updating a BED File from a PRM File in the Batch Process – A new command line for the Batch File was created to update a Basic Event Data File (BED file) from a Parameter File (PRM file).

Additional Fault Tree Solver PSIMEX – The new fault tree solver PSIMEX is available as an add-on option to WinNUPRA.  Benchmark tests have shown that PSIMEX is almost 10 times faster than NURELMCS.

Comparing Cutset Equation Files in different Folders – Cutset Equation Files (EQN files) from different folders can be compared with each other.

Comment Lines in Batch Files – Every command line in a Batch File starting with the symbol * is considered a Comment and will not be processed.

Data Module

New Search for Basic Events – This function allows you to search for basic events in LGC, LKC and EQN files.  You can also search for all basic events of a BED file.  The search results can be written to a log file.

New Search for Gates – Like the Search for Basic Events, the Data Module lets you also search for Gates in LGC or LKC files.  The search results can be written to a log file.

Results Module

Multiple Parameter Files in the Uncertainty Analysis – The Uncertainty Analysis can be performed with multiple Parameter Files in a specified order.

Optional Basic Event Description in Importance File – When creating an Importance File (IMP file) from an Importance Analysis, the Basic Event Description can be added to the output.
